FAQ

Classes take place outdoors in a variety of weather conditions. We recommend comfortable clothing appropriate for the forecast and footwear suitable for grass, sand, or uneven ground.
Layers are helpful in cooler weather, and waterproof outerwear and boots are recommended on wet or muddy days. In colder months, warm layers, hats, and gloves help children stay comfortable. On warm days, sun protection and breathable clothing are encouraged.
Families may also wish to bring an extra change of clothes, especially during wetter seasons.

Classes are held in a range of weather conditions; however, for the safety and comfort of participants, class will be canceled if the “feels like” temperature falls below 20°F or rises above 90°F, or in the event of severe weather such as heavy rain, blizzards, hurricanes, poor air quality, or high winds.
If a class is canceled due to weather, families will be notified by email at least one hour before the scheduled start time whenever possible.

Caregivers attend class alongside their child and remain present throughout. Being nearby helps children feel grounded and supported as they explore, play, and participate.
Classes include both open social moments and shared experiences, such as gathering or story time. During these quieter moments, caregivers are asked to stay close and attentive so children can settle into the experience together. At other times, conversation and connection among caregivers are a natural and welcome part of the class.
Caregivers are responsible for their child at all times during class.

Class locations are chosen thoughtfully, with attention to safety, accessibility, and the character of the space itself. Parks and outdoor settings are selected for their natural features, room to move, and ability to support calm, open-ended exploration for young children.
Locations may vary over time, but each setting is chosen with the same intention: to create a welcoming, grounded environment for children and caregivers to gather.

Because classes are offered in different formats, make-up options vary slightly.
For multi-week class series:
If a class in a series is canceled due to weather, a make-up class will be scheduled during an additional week following the end of the series, held on the same day and time. If a second weather-related cancellation occurs, a second make-up week may be added. If all scheduled classes run as planned, no additional weeks will be added. In the event of more than three weather-related cancellations, the series will conclude as scheduled.
For individual classes or seasonal experiences:
If an individual class is canceled due to weather, a make-up date will be offered when available. If weather prevents the make-up from taking place, a class pass may be issued, valid for up to one year from the original class date.Class passes are not issued if a family is unable to attend the scheduled make-up date.
